Prior to entering into a business relationship with any supplier, the Company does not limit its assessment to the review of know-your-supplier documentation. Through a risk-based approach, it also verifies the ownership and corporate structure of the supplier, the origin of the precious metals, the purpose of the transaction, and the legitimacy of the payment channels involved.
Where the source of the precious metals cannot be established or sufficient information cannot be obtained, the Company refrains from entering into a business relationship with the supplier. Where an identified risk cannot be mitigated or reduced to an acceptable level, no business relationship is established; any existing relationship is suspended or terminated.
